Procedures for Men


Gortex Implants

Procedure: Augmentation material is threaded under the skin to plump out wrinkles and furrows.
Duration of procedure: Half to one and a half hours depending on areas.
Anaesthesia: Local anaesthetic.
In/Out patient: Day case.
Post-operative: Temporary pain, burning and swelling.
Recovery: Stitches are removed after 3 days.
Results: Improvement in wrinkles with a minimum of invasive surgery. Permanent results.

Removal of Moles and Skin Lesions

Procedure: Moles and other suspicious skin lesions are removed. Specimens are sent for pathological examination to confirm the type of lesions and whether they have been completely removed.
Duration of Procedure: 1 hour.
Anaesthesia: Local.
In/Out Patient: The procedure is done in our office surgery.
Post-operative: There is minimum pain and swelling.
Recovery:Patient to return within four days for dressing change and wound inspection. Most stitches will dissolve.
Results:Initially the incision line will appear red and unsightly. However with time this will mature, fade and become barely noticeable.

Scar Revision

Procedure: Excision of scars resulting from previous surgery, injury or other trauma.
Duration of procedure and type of anaesthesia:Dependent on size and extent of scarring.
Post-operative:There is minimum pain and swelling.
Recovery:Patient to return within four days for dressing change and wound inspection. Most stitches will dissolve.
